Application rates:
Lawn – 70 -100g/sq. m. Brush in well and water, continue treatment sparingly throughout the year.
Seed Trays & Pots – One part manure to 25 parts Peat or Loam mixed well in will help roots systems achieve advanced growth, health and stability.
Fruit & Veg – 140 – 170/sq. m. Spread as a top dressing throughout growing season prior to rain or water in well after.
Flowers – 35g/sq. m. Prepare bed or border with an initial sprinkling before seeding. Further sparse feeding to the base of the plants throughout the growing season to dramatic effect.
Clay Breaking and Soil Conditioning – 140-200g/sq. m. Apply in Autumn to help heavy clay. (Note: Adding humus and light soil will help retain moisture and make the soil healthier.)
Transplanting – 140-170g/sq. m. Add to soil 2 weeks prior to transplanting, making sure the soil is ready for nutrient uptake and aiding growth after moving.
Composting – 200g/sq. m. Spread the recommended amount between layers of organic material to provide a nutrient rich compost.
Roses – 80-120g/sq. m. Add the recommended amount to each bush when planting. Established bushes will need 40-80g once buds begin to swell and once more before the second flush of blooms.
Seed Sowing – 35g/sq. m. Prepare seed bed and sprinkle. Rake in well once seeds are established. Another application can be added as needed.
Potted Plants, Baskets and Window Boxes – Mix with compost at a rate of 2 teaspoons per 10cm (height) of Pot. Water in well. Once established feed occasionally as normal.
Liquid Feed – Soaking a punctured bag full of Chicken Manure in water will make a liquid feed which is ideal for greenhouse plants and for treating a larger area than using the dry pellets. Spread any remaining slop over the soil as mulch.
Use at any time of year as a soil nutrient provider and enricher.
Application rates supplied are general guidelines only. For newly planted and/or delicate plants, the lower rate is advised until well established. Responsibility for soil/environmental conditions, individual mixes and results is that of the end user.
