Whilst there are plenty of greener alternative products out there, their price is a real barrier to our customer purchase. It’s also worth noting that whilst these alternatives may claim to have amazing eco credentials a closer look might reveal otherwise. For instance bamboo fibre plant pots, similar to the bamboo coffee cups many of us have, come with potential problems. What manufacturers don’t tell you is that their finely ground bamboo fibre also includes melamine and formaldehyde. This means that over time they will also give off formaldehyde as the product starts to degrade, especially when exposed to heat.

The vast majority of our Plastic Pots and Saucers are made from 100% recycled plastics. They can also be reused almost indefinitely with the right care. 

As a responsible business we aim to be transparent with our product range to help customers make an informed choice. This also means we are speeding up the way we respond to our customers changing requirements. This isn’t quite as straightforward as it sounds, but as a business we are committed to positive change.
