Champions Dahlia Mix

Champions Dahlia Mix is a custom formulated fertiliser, specifically designed for producing bright and beautiful blooms! Created in conjunction with our growing sponsor Ian Sutherland, a 4-time National Dahlia Champion, this blended fertiliser packs everything Dahlias and other flowering plants need for strong, healthy growth. Apply it in virtually any setting too, it’s equally great for smaller potted plants or flowerbeds, borders or large planters.Dahlia Mix is made from Calcified Seaweed, EX4 General Purpose Fertiliser and Urea Prills, mixed at a ratio of 9:9:2.

Fertiliser Composition:

Calcified Seaweed –

Calcified seaweed is a natural, organic conditioner for soils and lawns. Made from seaweed calcium and sea shells, it helps break down heavy soils. It also encourages the development of beneficial micro-organisms. Its effect is to neutralise acid and improve the soil structure which helps plants to develop stronger root systems. As a result, plants are healthier more vigorous growth. Rich in minerals, it’s great as a lawn dressing early in spring.

EX4 General Purpose Fertiliser (N.P.K: 5-7.5-10) –

Our General Purpose Premium Fertiliser contains all the essential nutrients and trace elements for vigorous growth, abundant flowering and ripening of fruit. With a well-balanced mineral makeup, EX4 General Purpose Fertiliser has a huge range of application possibilities. Nitrogen content helps the greening of leaves and general growth. Phosphorus helps grow large, healthy, dense roots systems and improve nutrient uptake. Additionally, Potassium aids the growth of big, tastier fruit and vegetables whilst improving disease resistance.

Urea Prills (N.P.K: 46-0-0)–

Urea Prills contains 46% nitrogen thus is an excellent source of nitrogen for crops. When applied to the soil, Urea Prills is converted by microbes into ammonia and other nitrogen compounds that are absorbed by plants where they are used in photosynthesis.

Application:

Apply to soils or composts at 175g per square meter. Rake into the surface at a depth of 5cm – 7.5cm around 10 days before planting.Find our range of FERTILISERS here.
