In it’s raw form Dead Sea Salt is not edible. Dissolving, cleaning and then recrystallizing the salt removes bitter minerals such as Bromine and Magnesium. The top layer is then rinsed off again to leave the final sea salt product. Used in a huge variety of cuisines, the course grains of Dead Sea Salt dissolve slowly, making it excellent as a preservative.
