Jiffy-7 Pellets
Jiffy-7 pellets have proven themselves to be an effective propagation substrate, suitable for use with a wide variety of crops and plants. Lauded by growers worldwide for their ease of use and fast sprouting of plants. Allowing both professional and amateur growers to excel in their craft. Jiffy-7 Pellets are less bulky than traditional potting medium due to the use of a fine netted mesh, which ensures optimal water and airflow to the seedling or cutting grown using it. All sizes of the Jiffy-7 pellet feature a pre-formed soft centre which contains a specially formulated fertiliser to provide the best start for your young plants. Short term crops will need no further feeding before potting on. Due to the increased air porosity of the Jiffy-7 pellets, plants grown in this medium will root faster, and produce stronger roots. Jiffy-7 pellets are manufactured from sphagnum peat moss, harvested from carefully selected bogs which are subject to stringent regulation to ensure minimal environmental impact. Peat is only taken from sources where the regeneration rate is greater than the harvest rate. How to use:
- Put the pellets in a planting tray, pot or seed tray of appropriate size.
- Soak the pellets with lukewarm water and pour off any excess water.
- Sow seeds or plant cuttings, and position the trays in a bright place.
- Take care to avoid frost, and gradually expose the sprouts to the sun.
- Never over-water them, or let them dry out.
- When watering them, make sure to water thoroughly.
- To protect the sensitive roots make sure to completely cover the Jiffy-7 pellet in the flower bed, or pot that you are using when planting them.
