Tub & Basket Compost

Give your container plants a healthy start with Elixir Gardens Tub & Basket Compost. It is specially blended for hanging baskets, tubs, containers, flower pots, raised beds, planters and more. The compost is enriched with extra nutrients to promote vibrant plants that flower all season long. It also contains added peat to improve the soil and to offer aeration and drainage.  The compost also has mixed in moisture store granules to help retain water to prevent evaporation and reduce watering frequency.Ideal for seedlings, cuttings with roots, potting and potting on plants when ready. Suitable for a wide range of plants including fruits, vegetables, herbs, bedding plants, perennials, shrubs, trees and much more!The compost is suitable for use all year round, however if you have any freshly planted container plants, protect them if there is a chance of frost using a frost fleece. Why not use our Elixir Gardens Frost Fleece?Before adding your plants to your container full of compost, work your hands through the compost while wearing gloves to break down any lumps and mix it well.Always keep your container plants well watered, particularly during dry weather. Keep your soil moist but not soaking. Avoid over watering as this can drain away nutrients. After four weeks, give your plants a feed using Elixir Gardens Bumper Crop Soluble Growmore or Elixir Gardens Bumper Crop Soluble Tomato Food depending on your plant’s needs and continue every two weeks during the growing season.This compost is not suitable for ericaceous plants.
