How to use:
- Calculate the amount of water retaining crystals required based on your pot/container size of soil square meterage.
- Apply using a teaspoon or measuring scoop.
- Mix thoroughly with compost or soil at root level.
- Plant as normal and water well twice, one hour apart.
- Re-water as and when required based on plant needs and weather conditions.
Application rates:
We recommend 5g (approx. 1 heaped teaspoon) of water retaining crystals per 5 litres of compost.- Plant Pots, Hanging Baskets & Containers: 10cm(4″) – 5g, 15cm(6″) – 7.5g, 20cm(8″) – 10g, 30cm(12″) – 20g, 45cm(18″) – 40g
- Growbag: – 10g at each planting station.
- Flower Beds & Border Plants: – 75g – 100g per square meter of soil/compost.
- Laying Turf & Sewing Grass Seed:– 50g – 90g per square meter of topsoil. If sowing new grass from seed work 10cm-15cm into the soil using a garden fork.
