Our Black Heavy Duty Potato Plant Pots are hard wearing and come in 4 sizes from 30 litre up to 70/75 litre.
This range of Large plant pots are ideal for use in your garden and greenhouse for growing potatoes but are also fantastic for other plants too including vegetables, Flowers, shrubs and trees.These plant pot are designed with comfort in mind, the curved lip on them allow for easy manoeuvrability and a sturdy grip.Each Potato Pot will come supplied with enough Premium Potato Fertiliser to feed your plant and tubers right through the growing season.To use the fertiliser simply mix half into the growing medium as you are planting your seed Potatoes and water in well.
Shoots will start to appear after a few weeks, and when the vines are around 15-20cm tall gradually add more compost/soil around the base of the stems to cover them up. (This is called “Earthing or Mounding up”).When your plants are at the flowering stage it means the tubers are starting to form so sprinkle the other half of the fertiliser around the base of the plant and water in well. At this stage there isenough fertiliser in the pot to feed the plant right through till harvest time. However as with anything that grows in a garden there is no exact science with any plant and you may feel it requires a fertiliser top up at some point.
