Our De-Icing White Rock Salt is ideal for clearing any outdoor areas of unwanted snow and ice. The salt easily clears driveways, paths, pavements, steps, entrances, roads and garden areas. The salt mix acts quickly to melt the ice and/or snow to provide a safe and comfortable walking or driving surface. Unlike brown rock salt, white salt leaves minimal residue after melting snow and ice, leaving paths road and driveways in pristine condition. This also makes it an excellent choice for areas near doorways and entrances. It can be used manually with a shovel/bucket or can be added to a mechanical gritter for larger areas. The salt will lower the point at which any standing water on roads or paths will freeze, helping to stop the formation of ice. It is also very effective when used on freshly fallen snow or newly formed ice early in the morning.Application rates:
We recommend scattering 40-50g per m² which is roughly a handful. This means a single kilogram is enough salt to cover 20-25m² or around 215-270 square foot.
